I’m Abby McFerran, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in outpatient psychiatry, acute care, and residential treatment settings. I provide telehealth care to patients in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. My clinical philosophy emphasizes careful assessment, diagnostic clarity, and thoughtful, individualized treatment planning. I have a particular interest in complex presentations and cases where diagnosis or treatment has been unclear.
My Approach
Psychiatric care is most effective when it begins with a clear understanding of the underlying diagnosis. I prioritize taking the time to understand each patient’s history, symptoms, and treatment response in order to develop a thoughtful and individualized plan.
Treatment may include medication management, diagnostic clarification, and coordination of care when appropriate.
