Mood disorders - including depression and bipolar spectrum conditions - are a core focus of my practice.
A mood disorder isn’t just “feeling depressed” or having a bad stretch. It’s when your emotional system itself gets out of balance—so your mood, energy, and thinking start to shift in ways that don’t fully match what’s going on in your life.
For some people, this looks like depression that keeps coming back or never quite responds to treatment. For others, there may also be periods of increased anxiety, restlessness, irritability, or a sense that their mind is moving faster than usual. These patterns are often missed or mislabeled, which can lead to treatments that don’t fully help.
Looking at the bigger picture—how your mood changes over time—can open the door to a more accurate understanding and a treatment approach that actually fits.
