I work with individuals whose symptoms don’t fit neatly into a single diagnosis, offering careful evaluation and individualized treatment planning.
Some people don’t fit neatly into just one diagnosis, and that’s often where things get missed.
When symptoms overlap between mood, anxiety, attention, trauma, and personality patterns, it can lead to labels that only explain part of what’s going on. Trauma, especially, can affect emotions, focus, relationships, and self-perception in ways that are easy to overlook or misinterpret.
In some cases, people have also been placed on medications that are no longer helping, or whose original purpose has become unclear over time. Part of thoughtful psychiatric care involves periodically reassessing diagnoses, reviewing whether treatments are still effective, and making careful adjustments when appropriate.
Getting clear on the full picture is key. I take a thoughtful, nursing-informed approach that looks at you as a whole person: your history, patterns, environment, physical health, and lived experience, not just a list of symptoms. This process helps create a more accurate understanding and a treatment plan that truly fits you.
My approach emphasizes diagnostic clarity, careful long-term treatment planning, and collaborative decision-making, including thoughtful medication review, simplification, or tapering when clinically appropriate.
